Job summary

CooperRiis, Inc. in Mill Spring, NC is seeking a Resident Support Staff- Direct Care on a part-time basis. You will help lead recreational, social, and cultural activities and support residents in their recovery goals.

The role requires assisting with crisis management, medication administration, and community outings, with a starting pay of $19.00 per hour. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, and you must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mental health care.
• At least 21 years of age with valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work with adults with mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead recreational, social, and cultural activities.
• Encourage participation and facilitate other activities as needed for residents who aren’t participating in the planned activities.
• Support residents in their recovery plans and goals.
• Fill in for Lodge Advisors as needed.
• Provide crisis management support.
• Assist with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer, and medication administration.
• Transport and accompany residents on community-based trips, outings, recreational, social, and cultural activities.

Education
