Job summary

CooperRiis in Mill Spring, NC is seeking a part-time Resident Support Staff- Direct Care to join our therapeutic community. The role supports residents through recreational, social, and cultural activities, and may fill in for Lodge Advisors as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting with recovery plans, crisis support, and processes such as medication administration, while promoting participation and a safe, inclusive environment on shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience working with adults with mental health challenges.
• At least 21 years of age, a current driver's license, and an acceptable driving record to be covered by company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Helps lead recreational, social, and cultural activities.
• Encourages participation and can facilitate other activities as needed for residents who aren't participating in the planned activities.
• Supports residents in their recovery plans and goals.
• Fills in for Lodge Advisors as needed.
• Provides support in crisis management.
• Assists with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer, and medication administration.
• Transports and accompanies residents on community-based trips, outings, recreational, social, and cultural activities.

Education
