Job summary

Apartment Life is seeking an Events and Ministry Coordinator to execute the service plan across Senior Adult communities. The role partners with a supervisor to schedule monthly programming, host resident events, and connect residents with local resources.

This offsite, part-time position starts in January 2027 and serves two communities in Jonesboro, GA and Riverdale, GA. The coordinator will work 8–16 hours per week, mostly in evenings and weekends, with requirements including a valid

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's Degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, or human services.
• Excellent listening/communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to provide after-hours or weekend activities as needed.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements for the community and required reports.
• Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation for duties.
• Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to commit weekly hours, mainly evenings and weekends.
• Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community.

Responsibilities

• Work with corporate, government, and nonprofit partners to create programs.
• Organize and host educational workshops for adults and youth.
• Meet with residents to provide support and connect them with resources.
• Share information about rental, food, and other assistance programs.
• Ensure all activities run smoothly.
• Communicate regularly with onsite staff.
• Meet weekly with supervisor to review program and goals.
• Submit monthly reports on activities and impact.
