Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Franklin, IN is seeking a compassionate Part-time 1st shift Nursing Assistant to support resident care and ensure clean, safe living spaces. You will help manage supplies, maintain unit cleanliness, and communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities include receiving and stocking supplies, adhering to safety/infection control policies, and assisting with resident transfers and daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 0–3 months’ related experience.
• Ability to read/write comprehensive English and document observations.
• Must respond to audible emergency signals and alarms.
• Must participate in orientation, mandatory in-services and training.

Responsibilities

• Receive supplies from vendor and review order for accuracy.
• Tag appropriately and secure supplies in stock room.
• Distribute supplies to various nursing units per schedule.
• Adhere to Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and general public.
• Maintain resident units and work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Promote positive public relations for the facility.
• Assist other personnel when assignments are completed.
• Know and follow existing lines of communication and authority.
