Job summary

Spring Arbor of Greensboro is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care for Assisted Living residents. This part-time role includes 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts, with possible weekend work.

You will support daily living activities, maintain care records, and help promote a safe, warm environment under the guidance of the Resident Services Director.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience (1+ year) required.
• Dementia training completion required for ensembles program communities.
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
• Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers).
• Support medication reminders and basic care tasks.
• Maintain accurate resident service plans and care documentation.
• Ensure safety and comfort of residents and coworkers.
• Assist with daily programming and neighborhood operations.

Are you a compassionate, caring person who loves making a difference in someone's day? Spring Arbor of Greensboro is looking for a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands‑on care and support to our Assisted Living residents. Under the guidance of our Resident Services Director, you'll help create a warm, safe, and positive environment for the people who call our community home.

What You'll Do

• Approach every interaction with residents and fellow associates in a friendly, service-oriented way
• Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, medication reminders, and incontinence care
• Maintain accurate records, including resident service plans and documentation of care provided
• Stay familiar with each resident's service plan to ensure personalized, consistent care
• Communicate closely with the Resident Services team for seamless continuity of care
• Help promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors
• Support the day-to-day programming and operations of the neighborhood

What You Bring

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of related health care experience
• Dementia training completion (required for communities with an Ensemble Program)
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening
• Willingness to comply with our drug‑free workplace policy

Nice to Have

• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by your state)
• CNA or NA license/certification, in good standing (state-dependent)
• Experience with computerized resident documentation systems
