Allegro Living in Albemarle, NC is hiring a Resident Assistant to join our Memory Care team. You will provide hands-on support, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, warm environment for residents living with memory loss.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and able to work collaboratively with nurses and care staff. Requires minimum 1 year health care experience, 18+, and dementia training; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year related health care experience required.
• Dementia training required in communities with Ensemble Program.
• Positive Criminal Background Screening.

Responsibilities

Now Hiring: Resident Assistant –Spring Arbor of Albemarle

|Part Time| $15.39/hr depending on experience| e/o weekend may be required

Are you a compassionate CNA with a heart for caring for seniors living with memory loss? Spring Arbor of Albemarle is looking for a dedicated Resident Assistant to join our Memory Care team, providing hands-on support and creating a safe, warm environment for our residents every day.

The Resident Assistant (RA) provides direct resident care and support under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, Supervisor-in-Charge, and/or licensed nursing personnel. This role helps maintain a safe, comfortable, and positive physical and social environment while supporting residents’ daily care needs, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

The Resident Assistant assists with activities of daily living, responds to emergency calls, supports dining and daily routines, observes and reports changes in resident condition, maintains required documentation, and communicates professionally with residents, family members, team members, and visitors. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, service-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a senior living environment.

Areas of Responsibility

• Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, medicinal reminders, and incontinence care.
• Keep proper records of care including a resident service plan and documenting services provided.
• Be familiar with resident service plan and document all service provided.
• Work closely and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates so that a continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
• Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
• In any Community with an Ensemble Program, applicant must successfully complete required dementia training.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
