Job summary

Oral Roberts University is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support students and faculty with in-person and remote research during evenings and weekends. The role includes processing Interlibrary Loan requests, maintaining records, and supervising student workers to ensure smooth library operations.

Responsibilities include assisting library users, creating signage, updating web assets, and upholding library policies. Education preferred: MLIS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and faculty with research and respond to inquiries by phone, email, text, and chat during evenings and weekends.
• Process Interlibrary Loan requests and maintain records and statistics.
• Supervise student workers and oversee library services during evening and weekend hours.
• Assist library users with research and help delegate tasks to student workers.
• Prepare signage and contribute to library knowledge base and web assets.
• Ensure compliance with library policies and procedures while on duty.
• Oversee safety procedures in case of emergencies.
• Other projects and duties as directed.
