Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Part Time Remote ESOL Instructor to support adult learners at the YMCA Boston International Learning Center. The instructor will teach English classes online via Zoom and some in-person evenings, creating a welcoming, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include planning learner-centered lessons, tailoring content to English levels, tracking attendance and progress, and collaborating with Education and Career Advisors to support student goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Education background preferred.
• TESOL, TEFL, TESL certificate preferred.
• Eligible to live and work in the US.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Proficient with Google Classroom/Google Workspace and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL to adult small business owners online via Zoom.
• Prepare engaging, learner-centered lessons aligned with goals.
• Customize curriculum for English proficiency levels.
• Maintain attendance and student progress documentation.
• Collaborate with program staff to support learner outcomes.
• Schedule guest speakers and integrate digital literacy.
