Job summary

Obsidian is seeking an experienced interviewer to vet shortlisted engineers for an AI model training-and-evaluation program. The Expert Interviewer will run short, structured interviews across GPU kernel development, security and vulnerability research, and ML-compiler/accelerator domains, delivering an evidence-based read on fit.

You’ll confirm availability and work authorization, surface red flags, tier candidates, and write concise summaries for the program team.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, or technical vetting.
• Ability to assess senior engineers and communicate judgments clearly.
• Comfort running warm, professional conversations and staying on schedule.
• Availability for weekday business hours and ~10 hours per week remote.

Responsibilities

• Run ~20-minute structured interviews with shortlisted experts.
• Assess technical depth, communication, and AI-evaluation fit against a rubric.
• Tier candidates (advance/hold/pass) and write concise summaries for the program team.
• Coordinate scheduling within weekday business hours.
