Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced Expert Interviewer to vet shortlisted engineers across GPU kernel development, security & vulnerability research, and ML-compiler / accelerator domains for an AI model training-and-evaluation engagement.

You will run ~20-minute structured interviews, assess technical depth, surface red flags, and provide evidence-based readouts to the program team, coordinating scheduling within weekday business hours and committing to about 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, interviewing, or technical vetting of senior engineers.
• Excellent communication and the ability to judge technical depth with a rubric.
• Availability for weekday business hours and reliable commitment to about 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Run ~20-minute structured interviews with shortlisted experts, assessing technical depth, communication, and AI-evaluation fit against a provided rubric.
• Confirm each expert's availability, work authorization, and exclusivity, and surface any red flags.
• Tier each candidate (advance / hold / pass) and write a concise summary for the program team.
• Coordinate scheduling within weekday business hours.
