Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Part Time Rehabilitation Aide in Fresno, CA. The role focuses on planning and leading group activities for emotionally disturbed adolescents in an inpatient setting, with emphasis on building self-help skills and positive behaviors.

You will document daily activities, support care teams, and participate in rounds and meetings to ensure coordinated treatment. This position offers on-site work, regular day shifts, and opportunities for CEU training and

Qualifications

• RA I: High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• RA II: Associate degree in a Mental Health, Human Services or closely related Field required
• Experience conducting groups preferred.
• Student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead large and small group activities for adolescents.
• Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance and feedback.
• Assist adolescents with developing self-help skills (eating, hygiene, grooming, social interactions, daily activities).
• Serve as a positive role model with appropriate behaviors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities and behaviors.
• Participate in shift rounds, shift-change meetings and treatment team meetings.

8AM-430PM, Every 2nd & 4th Saturday & Sunday of the month

Education

What you bring to SBHG

• RA I: High School diploma or equivalent, required.

Experience

• One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. (Student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted)
• Experience conducting groups preferred.

How You Will Make a Difference

The Rehabilitation Aide has the primary responsibility for planning and leading both large and small group activities for adolescents, encouraging positive behavior and providing guidance and feedback. Assists adolescents with developing self-help skills related to eating, personal hygiene, grooming, social interactions, and participation in daily activities. Serves as a positive role model by demonstrating appropriate behaviors and responses to various situations. Maintains accurate documentation of adolescents' daily activities and behaviors and actively participates in shift rounds, shift-change meetings, and treatment team meetings to support effective care and communication.

• Population Served (Capacity): Serving youth, ages 12-17 dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms.
• Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient Involuntary program, 16-bed facility
• Clinical Services (Core): Admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
• Skills & Services: Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans.
