Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team at Parsons Presbyterian Manor in Parsons, KS. The RD will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions to support residents’ nutritional status, and enhance quality of life in line with residents’ goals.

The position is scheduled for 9 hours per week with flexible days. Ideal candidates hold a nutrition degree, licensure, and complete continuing education as required, with experience in healthcare settings

Qualifications

Must-have: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
Must-have: Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
Must-have: Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
Must-have: Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
Must-have: Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
Must-have: Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
Must-have: Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, residents, staff, or consultants.
Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
