Cura Hospitality in Punxsutawney, PA is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to support inpatient and outpatient nutrition care. You will assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with the health care team to enhance quality of life for patients and residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing and revising continuous quality improvement programs.
