Job summary

Cura Hospitality in Punxsutawney, PA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our hospital-based nutrition team. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and support quality of life in inpatient and outpatient care.

This clinical role emphasizes collaboration with the health care team, adherence to standards, and ongoing education. Part-time benefits include dental, vision, commuter benefits, 401k, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.
