Job summary

Cura Hospitality, Parsons, KS, is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to assess residents’ nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life.

As part of the healthcare team you will educate patients, follow standards of practice, and help set up nutrition policies and dining procedures.

This role is scheduled for about 9 hours per week with flexible days; compensation ranges from $33.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Interact with departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development and review of continuous quality improvement programs.
