Job summary

Provo City Library is seeking a part-time Reference Librarian to provide entry-level professional library services in the Reference Division. Responsibilities include helping patrons locate materials, creating bibliographies, and supporting library programs.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of librarian experience, valid driver license, and may prefer Spanish; approximately 24 hours per week with some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons in selecting, locating, and using materials and equipment, including catalog and circulation systems; respond to inquiries by phone or in person.
• Create bibliographies and booklists to aid research and reading recommendations.
• Assist in planning and executing library programs and promotional activities.
• Maintain contact with public, schools, and other libraries; attend conferences and trainings.
