Job summary

Volo is seeking enthusiastic referees to join our Boston leagues. This part-time role places you as a key contact for players, ensuring a safe, fun, social, and fair environment at facilities and bars.

You will enforce soccer rules with fairness, update scores in our interface, check in players, and help promote events through social channels. Training is provided; growth opportunities exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work weeknights and weekends.
• Interest in sports and social activities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Works well in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
• Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly.
• Proficient customer service skills.
• A car or access to transportation.
• As a referee, you must have played the sport before and attend a shadow shift with a veteran referee as well as sport-specific training when available.
• Certified referees may qualify for a higher starting rate.

• Set up & take down field set up.
• Meet players and make them feel welcome.

Job Description

Hosts and Referees serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues.
