Job summary

Volo Sports is seeking a host/referee for softball leagues across our community. You will be the front-line representative at facilities and bars, creating a safe, fun, and fair environment while guiding players through game rules.

This part-time role emphasizes weekend and evening availability, helpful communication, teamwork, and the ability to multi-task under pressure. Certified referees may qualify for higher starting rates; all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work weekends and/or nights.
• Knowledge of the rules of the sport, ideally previous referee/umpire experience.
• Interest in sports and social activities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Works well in a team atmosphere.
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure.
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds.
• Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly.
• Proficient customer service skills.
