Job summary

Volo Sports is seeking referees for a part-time position that keeps you outdoors and actively involved in community sports. You’ll enforce rules, ensure safety, and create a welcoming, competitive atmosphere for players and event guests across pickup games and leagues.

Job Description

Referees are responsible for understanding and enforcing rules and safety guidelines in a friendly, competitive environment. This is a part-time role, great for anyone who likes being outside, enjoys sports, and is looking for supplemental income.

As a host, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming, energetic environment for participants while ensuring games, activities, and events run smoothly. Each season, you'll be assigned to support pickup games and/or league operations, serving as the primary point of contact for players and guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players
• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce each sport’s rules
• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.

Qualifications

• Prior experience playing or refereeing the sport is ideal
• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks, as follows:
• Weekday availability from 5:30pm-10:30pm
• Weekend availability between 9am - 4pm
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations
