Job summary

The City of Norco is seeking a part-time Recreation Program Assistant to support youth, adults, and community sports activities across multiple facilities. The role involves planning, supervising, and delivering programs, setting up spaces, and assisting with events while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

Successful candidates will show flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may be placed on an eligibility list for filling vacancies in the Community Operation

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• A valid California class C driver’s license may be required for certain positions.
• If under 18 years of age, must obtain a Work Permit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and instruct recreation, sports, or youth/adult programs at recreation facilities or parks.
• Set up rooms and support facility rentals for programs and events.
• Supervise and monitor city-wide recreation activities, events, and rentals.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate accurately with participants and the public.
