Provo City Recreation is seeking part-time Recreation Instructors to create engaging curriculum and lead energetic classes for youth and adults in Provo, Utah. Instructors promote courses, track attendance, and evaluate program success while supporting staff.

Class schedules are set by the instructor and supervisor, with evening hours often required. Eligible benefits include free admission to facilities, a library card, and discounts on memberships and vendor services.

Qualifications

• Sufficient knowledge of the format in which you are applying to teach.
• Physical ability required to perform the duties (bend, lift up to 50 lbs).
• Preference given to applicants with previous instructing experience, youth work, and ability to offer multiple class options.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging recreation program curriculum.
• Promote and market course(s) to the public.
• Provide energetic classes and instruct students of varying levels.
• Set up and take down materials for students.
• Track attendance.
• Evaluate program success for future modification and improvement.
• Assist recreation staff as needed and perform other related duties.
