Job summary

PrimeLending in Arlington, TX is seeking a part-time Associate Originator who will support residential mortgage loan origination under the Lead/Primary Loan Originator. The role involves taking applications, promoting PrimeLending products, and building relationships with realtors, builders, and clients.

You will handle loan processing, pre-qualification, document collection, and liaise with branch operations to move loans from application to closing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and required licenses as applicable by state.
• Active NMLS registration and required licenses in good standing, in compliance with applicable laws.
• 6 months real estate or financial services experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.
• Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Engages in residential mortgage loan origination activities defined by the SAFE Act, including taking mortgage loan applications and negotiating terms.
• Markets and promotes PrimeLending’s financial products.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with realtors, builders, bank officers, and new home sales representatives to develop and retain business.
• Handles loan volume and assists with residential mortgage loans under team direction, ensuring regulatory knowledge is up to date.
• Monitors customer interactions from application to closing and collects needed documents for loan processing.
