Job summary

PrimeLending, A PlainsCapital Company, seeks an Associate Originator to support residential mortgage loan origination under the Lead/Primary Loan Originator. This part-time role focuses on office tasks and customer interactions within the team, promoting PrimeLending products to realtors, builders, and clients in Albuquerque and surrounding markets.

Responsibilities include handling loan applications, counseling potential home buyers, collecting documents, and coordinating with branch staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Active NMLS registration and licenses in good standing.
• Minimum 6 months real estate or financial services experience.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
• Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to quickly assess large amounts of data and use loan origination software.

Responsibilities

• Engages in residential mortgage loan origination activities, including taking applications and negotiating terms.
• Markets and promotes PrimeLending’s financial products.
• Associate Originators will not be subject to minimum personal production to qualify for a team relationship.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with realtors, builders, and bank officers to develop business.
• Handles loan volume and assists with residential mortgage loans from application to closing as directed by team lead.
• Monitors customer interaction and communicates loan status to all interested parties.
• Collects and analyzes information regarding income, assets, investments, or debts.
• Schedules appointments with potential customers for the team.
• Obtains necessary documents and discusses fees, communicating status to stakeholders.
• Negotiates terms and conditions of loans with customers.
• Keeps abreast of changes in mortgage rules and guidelines.
• Maintains professional image and adheres to company policies.
• Meets customer service standards as outlined by management.
• Other functions as needed.
