Job summary

Tramec LLC in Ontario, NY is seeking a part-time Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing and Customer Service teams in a fast-paced environment. You will help process orders, monitor vendor deliveries, and assist with inventory tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–3 years of supply chain experience.
Strong computer skills with high proficiency in Excel.

Ability to build relationships with vendors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Run weekly overdue purchase order reports and follow up with vendors to ensure shipments.
Run weekly expedite reports and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.
Address receipts issues, notify vendors of shortages, and work with warehouse staff to resolve problems.
Fulfill customer requests for certificates of conformance and related documentation.
Assist Purchasing Manager with inventory management projects.
Cross-train in customer service to cover department capacity.
