Job summary

CS Automation, an automation and value-add distributor in Ontario, NY, is seeking a part-time Purchasing Assistant to support the Purchasing and Customer Service Managers in a fast-paced operation.

The role involves running reports, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with inventory and documentation. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of supply chain experience and strong Excel skills, with Associates preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of supply chain experience.
• Strong Excel skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional communication with vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Run weekly overdue purchase order reports and follow up with vendors to update shipments.
• Generate weekly expedite reports and coordinate with outside sales for alternatives when needed.
• Address receipts issues, notify vendors of shortages, and collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve problems.
• Fulfill customer requests for C of C and related documentation.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with inventory management projects and tasks.
• Cross-train in customer service to cover peak periods.
