Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a Physical Therapy Team Leader to guide the inpatient therapy team. In this role you will assist in daily operations, schedule staff, orient new hires, and support collaboration with hospital departments. You will provide hands-on patient care and foster meaningful patient relationships to support recovery and outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, compassionate care, and the use of advanced therapy practices to drive patient success and team growth.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire in this role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited therapy program is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in physical therapy or leadership, with at least two years of clinical experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in daily therapy team operations, including scheduling, orientation, and training.
• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding relationships to aid in recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories and contribute to positive outcomes.
