General Description

SUNY Niagara is seeking a part‑time instructor to teach freshman psychology courses in the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences department. Classes are held on the main Sanborn campus, typically three lecture hours per week during weekdays and/or evenings. Compensation is $1,008 per lecture hour (or $903 per lab hour). The position is open to qualified candidates and will be considered on a continuous basis until filled.

Typical Work Activities / Essential Functions

• Teach a diverse student population in psychology courses.
• Speak in front of groups of students and engage them in learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, supervisors, and the campus community.
• Develop, prepare, and present course material.
• Operate computers and use classroom technology.
• Perform physical duties required of the position.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
• Master’s degree in Psychology.

Desirable Qualifications

• ABD or Ph.D. in Psychology.
• Prior teaching experience at the college level.
• Experience with classroom technologies.
