Meridian Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Technician for the Riverbend Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana. The 7am-7pm shift supports unit-based care and daily activities for clients with complex needs.

The role requires high school education and at least 18 years old, with responsibilities including direct client care, ADL assistance, and adherence to treatment plans. A supportive team environment and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited high school or its equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age at completion of orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Attends to client's personal needs on Units (phone calls, clothing, laundry, exercise, etc.)
• Initiates and assists in client ADL's.
• Encourages and engages clients in treatment, social, leisure, and recreational activities
• Utilizes therapeutic skills in interactions with clients, families, and visitors
• Keeps clients informed of their treatment plan objectives and progress
• Demonstrates competency in taking vital signs, obtaining urine specimens, assisting with nursing tasks under Unit Nurse directions
• Demonstrates reporting accurate information to the Unit Nurse regarding observations
• Documents specific detailed observations, behaviors and interventions on assigned patients
• Maintains Unit supplies, cleanliness, order, and routines as established by Hospital policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
