Job summary

Meridian Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Technician for Riverbend Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana. The role runs 7am–7pm and focuses on supporting patients through daily activities, treatments, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Attends to client personal needs on Units (phone calls, clothing, laundry, exercise, etc.).
• Initiates and assists in client ADL's.
• Encourages and engages clients in treatment, social, leisure, and recreational activities.
• Utilizes therapeutic skills in interactions with clients, families, and visitors.
• Keeps clients informed of their treatment plan objectives and progress.
• Demonstrates competency in taking vital signs and assisting with nursing tasks under supervision.
• Documents observations, behaviors and interventions in the health record.
• Maintains unit supplies, cleanliness, order, and routines per hospital policies.
