Job summary

Meridian Health Services is seeking a Part-time Psychiatric Technician for our Riverbend Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana. The role covers two 12-hour night shifts, 7pm-7am, with rotating nights and responsibilities across patient care and documentation.

Ideal candidates graduate from an accredited high school, are at least 18 years old, and demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and empathy in a hospital setting. Benefits include merit-based pay and 401k participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at orientation.
• Strong communication and empathetic patient interaction expected.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) and cooperate with team.

Responsibilities

• Attends to clients' personal needs on units (clothing, laundry, etc.).
• Initiates and assists in client ADLs.
• Encourages clients in treatment, social and recreational activities.
• Maintains unit supplies, cleanliness, order, and routines as per policy.
• Completes observations, charting, and documentation in electronic health records.
