Job summary

Meridian Health Services seeks a Part-time Psychiatric Technician for Riverbend Hospital in West Lafayette, Indiana. The role focuses on supporting clients with daily activities, treatment adherence, and safety within a therapeutic environment.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, document in the electronic health record, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to promote overall well-being and recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old at orientation.

Responsibilities

• Attends to client's personal needs on Units (phone calls, clothing, laundry, exercise, etc.).
• Initiates and assists in client ADL's.
• Encourages and engages clients in treatment, social, leisure, and recreational activities.
• Utilizes therapeutic skills in interactions with clients, families, and visitors.
• Maintains Unit supplies, cleanliness, order, and routines as established by Hospital, Program and nursing policy and procedure.
• Documents vital signs, height, weight, participation in EHR efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Completes psychiatric technician's responsibilities for admission and discharge correctly and thoroughly.
• Maintains awareness of potential risks for clients/staff and reports hazards.
