Qualifications

• MSN from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current, unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license.
• At least 1 year of direct clinical bedside nursing experience in Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nursing within the last 5 years or RN level clinical teaching experience within the last 5 years.
• Preferred: terminal degree (Ph.D., DNP, or Ed.D.) and 2+ years of higher education teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
• Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessments.
• Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete deadlines (final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, etc.).
• Maintain professional training and/or scholarly activities when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content.
• Identify at‑risk students and coordinate with student services.
• Some indirect patient care in skills and simulation labs.
