Job summary

National University invites applications for part-time faculty to conduct Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing clinicals at placement sites for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The successful candidate will teach, supervise, and assess students at clinical sites in Los Angeles, CA, working closely with the Academic Program Director to ensure program quality and student success.

Ideal candidates hold an MSN and CA RN licensure with recent psychiatric nursing practice or teaching

Qualifications

MSN from regionally accredited institution.
At least one year of clinical bedside nursing experience in Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing within the last 5 years as an RN providing direct patient care.
OR at least one year of RN-level clinical teaching experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on assessments.
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessments, grading rubrics, etc.).
Maintain professional training or scholarly activities as applicable.
Provide course-content feedback to the course lead.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
Some indirect patient care in skills and simulation labs.
