Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join our nationwide network of O&P clinics. You will assess patients, design, fabricate and fit prostheses and/or orthoses, and provide exceptional patient care to improve mobility and quality of life.

You will work with a collaborative clinical team, stay current with innovative O&P technologies, and deliver guidance and education to patients and staff. State licensure may be required, and relocation support is offered as needed.

Qualifications

• Board certification in prosthetics and/or orthotics (ABC/BOC) or board-eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in prosthetics/orthotics with ABC board-eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per company policy.
• State licensure may be required in some states.
• Candidates with dual discipline certification may supervise in one while pursuing residency in the other.
• 5+ years of demonstrated prosthetic/orthotic experience under supervision may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patients’ need for prosthetic/orthotic services and discuss treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss; formulate device design.
• Perform fittings, static and dynamic alignments, and ensure proper function and fit.
• Provide patient education on device use and follow-up care; maintain detailed clinical notes.
• Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians when applicable; support other clinical staff.
