Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Prosthetist/Orthotist to deliver high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care across our clinic network.

You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, fabricate and fit devices, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve mobility and outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on devices, patient education, and ongoing follow-up, with opportunities to mentor residents and participate in case management.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent with ABC Board-Eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record as per policy.
• State licensure may be required where applicable.
• Experience across both disciplines or residency plans may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated prosthetic/orthotic clinical experience is preferred if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices tailored to patient goals.
• Select materials, take cast measurements, and draft layouts considering new techniques.
• Perform fitting with static and dynamic alignments.
• Evaluate devices for fit, function, medical efficacy and quality.
• Instruct patients in use and provide follow-up with physicians and staff.
• Provide in-service training to physicians and allied health professionals.
• Develop relationships with referral sources and plan for revenue targets.

Education
