Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join its nationwide network of clinics.

You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, fabricate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, and provide ongoing follow-up care in collaboration with physicians and the rehabilitation team. You will leverage extensive clinical expertise, established guidelines, and advanced technologies to deliver superior patient care and outcomes while benefiting from clinical mentorship and

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the ABC or BOC, or
• A bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent with ABC Board-Eligibility.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company policy requirements.
• In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• Candidates certified in one discipline who wish to see patients in the other discipline while completing residency may be considered.
• Candidates not certified or board-eligible but with at least 5 years of demonstrated prosthetic/orthotic services experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate need for prosthetic/orthotic services and advise on treatment options.
• Assess patient needs related to disease and functional loss and formulate design of devices.
• Select materials, take casts, model modifications, and plan layouts considering new techniques.
• Perform fitting with static and dynamic alignments and ensure proper function and medical efficacy.
• Provide patient instruction on device use and follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Plan strategies to meet revenue targets in coordination with management and provide detailed clinical notes.
