Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is hiring a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities in safe, welcoming condition. The role covers building, grounds, equipment, and vehicle maintenance with a 29-hour weekly schedule, Monday–Thursday 2:00 P.M.–8:00 P.M. and Friday 2:00 P.M.–7:00 P.M.

Pay is $20–$22 per hour. A background check is required, and travel may be involved. A driven, hands-on candidate with basic maintenance knowledge is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize work and solve problems.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance records.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driver standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Inspect facilities, perform preventive maintenance, and document completed work.
• Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, snow and ice removal, and cleanup.
• Check organization vehicles and arrange service or repairs when needed.
• Help move furniture and set up spaces for programs.
