Job summary

Newark Alliance is seeking a Project Lead for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) program in Newark, NJ. This part-time role (25 hours weekly, 1:00pm–6:00pm, Monday–Friday) offers $35 per hour and reports to Site Managers.

The Site Manager will oversee afterschool programming, data collection, and daily reporting, supervising 4–6 Project Leads. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills are essential to support high school youth and create a positive student

Qualifications

Experience developing and facilitating workshops or group activities.
Passion for mentoring and youth development.
Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills.
Ability to connect with high school students and build positive relationships.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, responsible, and committed to program success.

Responsibilities

Oversee quality, comprehensive programming at the site during the school year.
Ensure site is in compliance with school, NYCP, and 21CCLC policies.
Maintain site data including student enrollment, daily attendance, and surveys.
Conduct monthly site meetings with school leadership to foster relationships, align afterschool programming with school priorities, and to collaborate when appropriate.
Attend weekly Site Manager meetings to discuss program wide initiatives, share site updates, and announcements.
