Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Procedural Registered Nurse for our Cancer Center in Killeen, TX. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves delivering professional nursing care under the nursing practice model, assessing patients, and developing individualized care plans in a chemotherapy setting.

The position emphasizes nursing judgment, quality improvement, patient education, and collaboration within the care team.

Qualifications

• Accredited nursing program or two years minimum required for this position.
• Major focus or specialization in Nursing.
• Some relevant professional experience preferred, though less than one year may suffice.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Use careful clinical judgment to assess patients and prioritize needs; create and adjust care plans.
• Assess nursing practices for quality and effectiveness; track indicators and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and staff; integrate education into care at all levels.
• Apply systems thinking to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain professionalism and contribute to decision-making while recognizing others' contributions.
