Job summary

Alvin Community College is seeking dynamic and experienced Part-Time Project Manager(s) to support the Continuing Education and Workforce Development department on a PRN basis for grant-related and program development work.

You will identify grant opportunities, oversee awarded grants, develop new programs, coordinate corporate training, and liaise with faculty and local partners to deliver measurable training outcomes while maintaining deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Education, Business, or Workforce Development.
• At least five years of experience in workforce development, including program development and business engagement.
• Proven experience in writing, implementing and managing grants.
• Experience with project management.

Responsibilities

• Identify grant opportunities and prepare applications for grants such as Skills Development Fund (SDF).
• Manage awarded grants and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Monitor and report on grant activities, budgets and outcomes.
• Conduct needs assessments and market research to identify workforce development opportunities.
• Develop new continuing education and workforce programs in response to community and industry needs.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and stakeholders to design and implement new programs.
• Develop and manage corporate training programs for local businesses.
• Ensure training programs meet industry standards and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Represent ACC in partnerships with local entities to assess training priorities.
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects on deadlines and within budget.
• Develop project scopes and deliverables with stakeholders; report to management.
• Track project performance and time/effort reports.
• Act as main point of contact for project-related communication.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and present reports.
• Assist CEWD with tasks and stay updated on industry trends.
• Help recruit instructors and staff to support college mission.
• Support staff in developing professional skills and goals.
