Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is hiring Private Instructor Aquatics (WSI/non-WSI) for all pools on a part-time basis. The role involves teaching private or semi-private swim lessons to clients of all ages and abilities, while promoting safe swimming skills and knowledge of Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels.

Ideal candidates will understand all strokes, stay calm in emergencies, communicate well with the public, work independently, and be flexible with shifts including mornings, evenings, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of swimming strokes and Learn-to-Swim levels (ARC).
• Ability to swim to safety with an adult and stay calm in emergencies.
• Effective communication with the public and team members.

Responsibilities

• Teach private or semi-private swim lessons to clients of all ages and abilities.
• Motivate, educate, and help clients achieve swim goals.
• Maintain knowledge of strokes and safety standards.
