Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have active Washington food worker card.
• Experience in a Montessori environment is preferred.
• Two+ years in a school or regulated kitchen setting.
• Ability to follow CACFP/USDA guidelines and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Place weekly vendor orders based on attendance trends and waste analysis.
• Receive and verify daily deliveries and ensure menu compliance.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and cleanliness per safety standards.
• Prepare meals and serve to classrooms; accommodate dietary needs.
• Record temperatures and monitor food costs to keep waste low.
• Provide classroom support and assist staff as needed.
