Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining is seeking a part-time prep cook at Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, CT. Schedule is Sunday and Monday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with duties including food preparation according to production sheets and assisting in serving customers.

This role requires prior kitchen and knife skills; candidates will follow recipes, operate and clean equipment, and maintain HACCP compliance while delivering quality meals to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen and knife skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
