Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining at St. Christopher School in Richmond, VA is hiring a full-time Prep Cook to support our mission of nourishing students with fresh, locally sourced meals and nutrition education programs. You will prepare items according to the daily production schedule, follow recipes, operate and clean equipment, and ensure HACCP-compliant food safety.

Previous culinary experience is required; willing to train. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience required.
• Ability to follow recipes and production sheets.
• Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Resolves customer concerns.
