Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining in Suffolk, VA is seeking a full-time Prep Cook to support daily meal production in a lively school kitchen. You will assist with mise en place, follow recipes, and help ensure food safety standards are met while delivering quality meals to students and staff.

The schedule is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with nights and weekends off. Prior kitchen experience is preferred, and on-the-job training is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short prep time.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
