Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining in Cheshire, CT is seeking a part-time Prep Cook for Cheshire Academy. The role involves preparing food, serving customers, and following federal, state, and local standards.

Schedule is Sundays and Mondays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Prior kitchen and knife skills are required; an internal employee referral bonus is available. Free meals, uniforms and laundering service are available at select locations.

• Previous kitchen and knife skills required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Completes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; tastes meals for quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy; follows HACCP guidelines.
• Resolves customer concerns and assists at multiple stations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
