Job summary

Banner Surgery Center - University in Phoenix is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our PreOp/PACU team on a part-time basis. This role requires a current RN license, BLS/ACLS, and pediatric PALS within 90 days if applicable.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement and document patient care according to policies and physician orders. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide patient education, and help ensure safe, high-quality care with an emphasis

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
• Current RN license in state of practice, or compact license.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days for pediatric ASC services.
• Core (FT/PT): minimum one-year RN experience in PreOp/PACU.
• New RN enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with completion within 4 months.
• PRN: minimum two years RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care with discharge planning.
• Implement care per physician orders and nursing plan.
• Document assessments, plans, and patient responses in the chart.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and physicians.
• Promote evidence-based nursing care and patient safety.
