Job summary

Archdiocese of Boston is seeking a part-time Nurse Assistant to support Pregnancy Help in Brockton. The role works under a Nurse Supervisor to provide compassionate, confidential care to women facing pregnancy challenges, with a 32-hour weekly schedule at the Pregnancy Help Office in Brockton.

The position involves responding to helpline communications, scheduling, assisting with pregnancy tests and ultrasound appointments, and guiding clients through available resources in a manner consistent

Qualifications

• Provide confidential, compassionate, non-judgmental care for women in crisis.
• Respect the Church's teaching on abortion, contraception and dignity of life.
• Ability to interact with medical and social service agencies.
• Strong service orientation.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to helpline calls, texts and emails.
• Record client information on Client Screen form.
• Schedule client appointments.
• Assist clients with administration and reading of pregnancy tests.
• Accompany clients to ultrasound appointments.
• Discuss alternatives to abortion in line with Catholic teaching.
• Provide resources and referrals to health, housing and support services.
• Ensure follow-up visits and education classes.
• Refer difficult cases to Nurse Manager.
• Record client data accurately in Pregnancy Help records.
• Refer clients with possible medical complications to Nurse Manager.
• Make recommendations on material assistance levels.
• Assist Pro-Life Director with parish presentations if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
