Job summary

Kamatics is seeking a Part-Time Inspector on the 2nd shift in Bloomfield, CT to conduct visual and dimensional inspections and ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards. The role supports production schedules and collaborates with operations and quality leadership to drive quality improvements.

The candidate should have 2–5+ years of inspection experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with precision measuring tools, including CMMs, calipers, and micrometers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 2–5+ years of inspection experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to close tolerances.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections within value streams.
• Identify non-conformities and report to quality leadership.
• Operate inspection tools and support CMM inspections when needed.
• Maintain inspection records and relevant IMS documentation.
• Support production flow and provide guidance to other inspectors.
