Job summary

Kamatics is seeking a Senior Aerospace Inspector for the 2nd shift in Bloomfield, CT. This role performs first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on close-tolerance aerospace components, with hands-on CMM programming and GD&T interpretation as core duties.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of precision inspection experience, strong measurement tool proficiency, and the ability to guide others. Overtime and weekend work may be required. A comprehensive benefits pack is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in precision manufacturing.
• Strong CMM operation and programming experience.
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to close tolerances.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections per production needs.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine inspection methods.
• Document nonconformances and maintain quality records (IMS, FAI).
• Prepare products for customer and supplier inspections.
